Story Planet LOVES to read. We read big stories, small stories, short stories, long stories, goofy stories, serious stories, happy stories, sad stories, old stories, new stories, really any kind of story. We read with our friends, we read by ourselves, we read to our pets, we read to nobody in particular. Reading makes us smarter. Reading helps us grow. Reading opens our eyes, our ears, and our hearts to other people's stories. Today (March 5th) is World Read Aloud Day, and we hope you will take some time to read with someone - it will brighten both your days. Trust us, we're readers!

3:15 – 3:45pm: Write and Illustrate a Story with All Your Friends! Local artist Hilary Leung (The Pirate Girl’s Treasure: An Origami Adventure) shows kids how collaboration can turn into awesome illustrated stories! In partnership with Story Planet, Hilary recently completed a 40-page story book written by himself and a dozen Grade 5 students from 4 different schools, and he’ll share tips and ideas for working with a group to generate great plots and characters!
